Photographer Bruce Weber's in-house publishing company, Little Bear Press, has been putting out a series of monographs called All -American since 2001. There are to eight volumes now. Each journal loosely revolve around a particular theme, supported by a constellation of American artists, poets, writers, photographers, politicians - and courageous, every day people of all stripes. Throughout are selections of Weber's own photographs and writings, musings. I like them for the aura of possibility and optimism they project about the whole American experiment - it's pretty satisfying to come across and be reminded of now a days. Regardless of your opinions about his photography, these publications are a small treasure from someone with a remarkably consistent point of view and vision.
