Sort of buried in the Times web site - in the NY/region section - is a link to One in 8 Million New Yorkers in Sound and Images. There are some wonderful stories in there. The coolest thing of all for me, though, is the merging of oral history, traditional black & white photo-journalism, and web-based flash animation. This type of picture making (which on its own seems dated to me) is enlivened by the flash movement and the sound of the voices. The photography is enhanced - it seems more dynamic, relevant and fresh again. Makes me feel better about the possibilities of life without print - if that is the future.
